I enjoy learning how to do new things with software, especially when it enhances the classroom. Some of the apps I've used in the classroom are Edmodo, Classkick, Google Classroom, Quizlet, Plickers, Doceri, Air Serve, and the whole G-Suite. I am currently in my second year as a technology integration specialist for two elementary schools where I support 50 teachers with using technology more effectively in the classroom. I love the challenge that this position brings!

        I graduated from Virginia Tech where I was a member of the Corps of Cadets and an Air Force ROTC student. (A-99!) The Corps motto is Ut Prosim meaning "that I may serve", this seemed to be prophetic for me since I went into the field of education.  I married a wonderful man and we have two wonderful children that are now in high school getting ready to start their own journeys into higher education. 

        I started my journey to earning my masters with Lamar University in the spring of 2018. This is the first time for me to take classes online and it is difficult but I believe it will be worth it when I earn my masters degree 3 months after my son graduates from high school and 20 years after I graduated from college the first time.
